Hi, I’m Alberto, and I’m thrilled to have you here! Cooking is my passion and a splendid way to share love and care with those around me.
Through this blog, I aim to create a welcoming space dedicated to Mediterranean food, recipes, and a journey toward a simpler, more fulfilling life centered around nature.
My Culinary Journey

While I’m not a professional chef, my fondest memories are of cooking for my family, nurturing them through homemade meals. Growing up in Spain, my mother worked long hours, and since no one else in my family cooked, I took on that responsibility at a young age. It began with a simple cake and blossomed into Sunday feasts for my father and brother when I moved to Mexico City after my parents’ divorce.
I’ve moved around quite a bit, from London to Los Angeles, Mexico City, Barcelona, and other cities in Spain, and now temporarily in Madrid, often cooking during family gatherings—sometimes for as many as 26 loved ones. My Sicilian-style extended family means lively celebrations filled with laughter and delicious food. Cooking is part of our connection, and memories are cherished forever.
In 2014, I took an enriching year-long cooking course at Hofmann in Barcelona. It started as a hobby, but life took a turn when I ventured into organic wine importing in New York City.
Although that journey ended due to COVID and tariffs, my passion for cooking remains steadfast. This blog is a window into my culinary experiences and recipes.

My love for cooking is closely linked to my fond childhood memories spent in the Mediterranean countryside. Those moments cultivated my dream of living in a simpler home surrounded by nature.
Now, as I seek a small plot of land back in the Mediterranean, I invite you to join me on this journey.
