Cook or boil the pasta according to the package instructions. Put half a cup of pasta water aside before draining.
Heat the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté over medium heat until fragrant.
Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and red pepper flakes, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
Toss in the cooked pasta, mixing well to coat with the flavorful oil.
If needed, add reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
Season to taste. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and toss until melted.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
